In my first four years of banking, I absolutely loved what I did. I was a teller, new accounts clerk, and deposit operations clerk. I also volunteered as a credit analyst for a high producing commercial lender during that time, just to have the experience (and I found it very interesting). As a result, when I received my MBA that same commercial lender gave me the opportunity to be a junior loan officer. Once I began making loans, that love of banking became an obsession. I thoroughly enjoyed being a lender when I started twelve years ago, and still have that passion today. I enjoy constantly searching for the next banking relationship and planting seeds. I enjoy reviewing financials and being a credit analyst. Most of all, I enjoy being a banker and adviser to my customers and adding value to what they are trying to achieve. Over the past seven years, I have taken my excitement for commercial lending and have added leadership of other lenders to my skill set. While this takes a very different skill set when compared to commercial lending, I too thoroughly appreciate this. I work hard to be a mentor and a leader to all younger lenders at my current bank. I lead my team to be a strong unit and find much fulfillment in doing this. I also realize that I can multiply my skills in doing this. While I have developed additional skills, the heart of who I am lies with being a commercial loan officer and a leader. I cherish these two qualities above all else.
