NEC4 Project Manager, on behalf of Coventry City Council, September 2021 - ongoingWorking alongside Balfour Beatty on an NEC4 Option C Design and Build contract to deliver a major £21m highways and civils scheme through a busy urban environment. Involved in the scheme from preliminary design onwards. A combined project and site management position working on the Warwickshire, Solihull and Coventry Highways Maintenance contract. I managed the clients civil packages, third party works, highway improvements and traffic scheme projects. Based on the £2.7bn, 25 year Birmingham Highways Maintenance and Management Service contract (largest PFI contract in Europe). I successfully completed a series of rotational placements within the Performance, Highways maintenance and Structures teams. Duties:• Performance monitoring of the Carriageway, Footway and Street Lighting teams• Planning and coordinating highways maintenance aspects• Coordination of Delivery Team Meetings, preparation of Construction Phase Plan’s, Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments. Projects involved with the Structures Team included:- Birchfield Underpass Refurbishment - Birmingham New Street Gateway Project - Highways Improvements

I joined Couch Consulting Engineers following graduation from University and gained experience in the housing and infrastructure, and education sectors (including student accommodation). Responsible for developing detailed designs, site inspections and structural survey report writing.Duties:• Use of AutoCad software to produce construction drawings and designs• Developing designs of structures in steel, reinforced concrete and masonry in accordance with the Eurocodes and Building Regulations.• Checking of detailed designs and drawings• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications• Writing structural surveys and reports

Eager to gain valuable site experience whilst studying at University, I worked for various residential development companies on a mixture of property extensions and housing restoration/refurbishments as a general labourer during the summer periods.Duties:• Provided site set up and removal, collection and delivery of materials • Excavation of trenches, concrete mixing, laying of foundations• Assisted other tradesmen such as plasterers, carpenters and roofers with their duties.
