On completion of 22yrs service in Her Majesty's Armed Forces (Exemplary Record), I have recently qualified as a Maritime Security Operator.and now have experiance in transits in the HRA, I have attended and successfully completed the SSO, City & Guilds MSO, Proficiency in Designated Security Duties,SCTW95 (4 modules),Weapons System Management, Post Incident Forensic Management, FPOS(I),RYA Radar Operator,RYA VHF user Licence, I also hold the ENG1, Yellow Fever Cert , Disclosure Scotland, Seamans Card, Discharge Book and Oxygen Therapy / AED Defbrillator Cert's.I have served on operations worldwide including Iraq, Northern Ireland, Bosnia as well as many large scale complex exercises in Canada, Kenya, Europe and the UK. I am currently seeking employment within the Maritime Security Sector.

Maritime Security Officer (Transits of the HRA-Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean)It was my duty to observe for possible Pirate approaches and the overall security and hardening of the Vessel.Observing both from the bridge wings and using the ships radar to identify other traffic and possible hostile skiffs and pirate vessels.Implementing and using BMP4 and the ISPS code. Link directly with the Captain and security team leader on security matters affecting the vessel.Help advise the Captain and ships crew on effective evasive action on pirate attack whilst in the HRA.Effective use of the A.I.S. System to identify vessels.Ensuring security and maintenance of the weapons and ammunition whilst on transit.

Having joined 1DWR in 1991 and subsiquently The Yorkshire Regiment in 2006 (On Formation). I am currently in my final few months of a 22yr military Career which has taken me all over the world on Operation's and training.

As a Sergeant recruiter it was my responsibility to ensure first and foremost the applicant was briefed firstly on all the CEG that were available to him/her.
