I have worked as a professional engineer with ten years of experience in water resources, environmental restoration, stormwater management, and stormwater quality. Worked on projects of magnitudes ranging from a small stormwater BMP to a 4,500-acre wetland restoration. Have Bachelors and Masters from N.C. State where I studied under the tutelage of Dr. Greg Jennings and have design, planning, construction oversight, and channel stability analysis/monitoring experience. Throughout my career, I have designed restoration projects totaling 125,000 linear feet of stream restoration, 225,000 linear feet of dikes and ditch plugs, and a total of 25,000 acres of wetland restoration. Within my career, these projects have totaled approximately $100 million. I have worked within the private and public sectors and experience all phases of project development from these sectors. Experience in stormwater management, flood studies, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and construction management. Working within the state office of North Carolina NRCS I gained experience with dam hazard assessments, breach analysis, and emergency action plans. I also have experience with drainage issues, these projects include flood routing, culvert sizing, drainage network design, stormwater best management practices (BMPs), permitting, and watershed assessments or master planning.
