Worked in the environmental department gaining valuable knowledge on collecting, graphing and analyzing large data sets. Worked with NYC Cool Roofs Program and obtained energy bills from various buildings that took part in the Cool Roofs Program. Arranged energy bills into excel, graphed, and analyzed buildings’ use of energy. Showed that buildings with white roofs used less energy during the spring/summer months. Helped plan and create a water discharge project to determine flow of a stream to prove that water basin from PPPL was not causing flow in the stream. Collected large amounts of data, organized and analyzed data of flow meter. (Project was still on going after leaving)Installed temperature sensors on roofs to verify temperature of air of white roofs vs. black roof tops. Wanted to determine whether buildings white roofs were more efficient than black roofs with air condition units located on the roof. Collected, organized, and analyzed data.
