This requires months of planning to get in shape for the race and oftenadjusting the plan based on weather, fatigue, or injuries. It also requires balancing training time aroundother priorities like family and work. There are some really long, difficult days that you may need topush through to get your work done. It requires a lot of focus and dedication.I also grow and train large bonsai trees. This requires understanding the needs of each individual treeand how they grow, planning when you can do various work depending on species (sometimes planningyears ahead), a lot of patience, and detailed work. Sometimes things happen, and a tree doesn't giveyou what you expect, and you have to be ready to change your plan to work with what you're given.Both of these hobbies require skills that translate to any job: planning, sometimes needing to changeplans, patience, dedication, focus, and the ability to work around changing priorities.
