I am a Chartered Accountant (GradDipCA) currently working at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment as a Principal Financial Accountant in the External Reporting team. As part of my role, I am responsible for ensuring the Ministry meets its external accountability obligations, and providing technical advice to stakeholders. Previously I was on secondment as a Senior Financial Accountant as a dedicated resource for MIQ in the Financial Accounting and Control team. My responsibilities involved setting up key finance processes for the recently established Managed Isolation and Quarantine business group, providing technical financial accounting and Public Finance Act advice to stakeholders across the business and operating in a de facto finance business partnering role.Managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to engage collaboration also forms a key responsibility in both my existing and previous roles.Additionally I have experience in external audit during my time at PwC and have a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Victoria University of Wellington in Accounting and Commercial Law.
