Control, PLC an Robot Software Design and implementation for automated machinery.

PLC, robotic control design, software, integration and service.

Internal company move from Hyde Group (Automation) Ltd.Responsible for design and implementation of electrical and software control systems. Main customers were Aerospace and Automotive.Projects included work on A380, A400M, A340 automated jigs. Robot Cells for BAE Systems and various 2nd tier automotive companies, various special purpose machines.

Hyde Group Automation was the automation division of Hyde Group Ltd, strong in Aerospace and general precision tooling. Hyde Group Automation was later merged with Hyde Group (Design) Ltd.

Manufacture of electrical control systems, software design and programming of industrial machinary. Project work with an electrical bias.Main customer at this time was Chloride/Exide and acted as technical support for the existing trades departments, software engineer for a variety of process plant.Other customers were OEM manufacturers of special purpose machinery. My role was control system design including PLC and computer software.

Partnership: Design and manufacture of control panels, control circuits, PLC software design and programming.Customers were purpose built machine manufacturers and electrical contract maintenance companies needing specialist support.

Sheard engineering were a textile machine manufacturer manufacturing purpose built machines for the UK and abroad.My role was electrical/software engineer and my duties also included site comissioning.Most of the customers were textile based. eg Airsprung, Silent Night etc.

Crownflex manufactured special purpose machine mainly textile related. They were part of a multinationational that included Slumberland and so also manufactured spring making machinary.My duties included control system design and implementation together with on-site comissioning. I was headhunted from Crownflex by the MD when he set up Sheard Engineering.

The Hillgate Group of companies main business was metal finishing/electroplating. They also manufactured process plant for the same industries. The control was solid state TTL and CMOS based. Duties also included maintenace within the plant and was trained to design, fault find and implement electronic based control systems.This proved an ideal grounding as PLC's, Inverters and more sophisticated process control equipment came into wide spread use.
