Started as a field service technician working on fire apparatus on my off days from the fire department 3 to 4 days a week and transitioned to full time in the shop when I retired from the fire department. I was responsible for going to customer sites and making repairs to equipment and working in the shop on major fabrications and repair jobs. Once full time, I was placed in charge of the shop operations to schedule work flows and oversee production.
