- Intern for the team of equipment SMEs that supports the downstream manufacturing of biologics, with broad exposure to the purification processes and training on RCAs and GMP.- Shadowed both Manufacturing and Quality Control, which gave exposure to HPLC and potency tests.- Within manufacturing engineering, completed a small project Proof of Concept over 5 months that tested the use of Internet of Things sensors on site. Undergraduate researcher at the Betenbaugh Lab. Helped the development of a mechanistic metabolic model for CHO Cell fed-batch cultures. The model is able to simulate the concentration of various metabolites, viable cell density, and titer concentration in a culture over time.

Mentored a high school student in their NSF REM project. Used the COBRA Toolbox to predict A. niger growth rate in different feed conditions and nitrogen sources. Helped develop a final presentation to NSF detailing their work.
