I have what I've always referred to as an Engineer's mindset. Everything is a puzzle and a curiosity, I have a passion and a drive to understand the how and why of something. To understand its working and function is an ever present curiosity that has kept pushing me throughout my career. It's a mindset that stretches throughout my life and continually pushes me to understand and learn more. Learning to bake or sew, to plumbing and electrics. Learning to tune a carburettor or replace a brake line, to carpentry and bricklaying. Professionally this translates into forever embracing and investigating the latest technology has to offer. With such a wide array of tools available at our disposal it is more important than ever that we are willing to throw ourselves into the unknown and discover what can be done.Whilst Moore's law has continued to be relevant to transistor technology, the same trend is often seen through software - as each software iteration is primed to take advantage of the latest leap in hardware capabilities. Embracing that everything we think we know will be irrelevant in 3 years time can be incredibly humbling, and the very best engineers of any industry look forward to taking the next leap into the next great wonder.
