Primary duties include all aspects of line & base maintenance of Hawker aircraft types including Hawker 400xp, 750 & 800xp 850xp & 900xp. From receipt and dispatch of aircraft, to more involved tasks such as carrying out 150hour through G check inspections, engine overhaul, flying control replacement and structural repair, fault diagnosis of incoming defects via the use of aircraft technical drawings, and Component maintenance and structural repair manuals.

As part of a four man team the primary operations at Airbus UK included the manufacture and build of various aspects of the Hawker 125 airframe. These include drill off and rivet up of the nose/keel and cockpit sections, frames, stringers, and skins, along with all associated components, as well as cabin to keel construction drill off and marry up. Other duties included forward nose mechanical equipping; involving installation of flight control systems such as flying control yoke, throttle assembly and rudder pedal assemblies. Using aircraft technical drawings, precision equipment and very close build tolerances

Responsible for fault diagnosis and rectification of complex aircraft components and their associated equipment, receipt and dispatch of aircraft, training of new technicians and all aspects of flight servicing. As a dual trained airframe/propulsion technician, primary areas of responsibility were to the aircraft engine, fuel, and hydraulic systems, often undertaking complex fault diagnosis and rectification procedures.
