I am a director of technical production with more than 20 years of experience across film and TV production as well as post-production. I led the transition to cutting-edge new post-production technical infrastructure at a leading post house, and spearheaded the technical design, tech scoping, implementation, and migration to a 20k sf post-production facility. Additionally, I developed technical workflows that drove efficient project delivery and achieved double-digit increase in project ROI.• 20 years of experience touching every technical role in production and post-production, collaborating closely with VFX artists, editors, sound designers/mixers, DPs, directors, music supervisors, producers, colorists and DITs.• Hands-on experience with all major camera equipment as well as their related raw files and workflows; well-versed in HDR/Dolby Vision workflows both on-set (monitoring) and post (mastering); and digital projection technology with digital audio (Dolby Atmos) for exhibition.• Implemented ACES workflows in feature film and TV post-production environments and led the transition to new editing technologies at a major offline editorial post-production house. • Led teams of 5+ junior editors and production coordinators; oversaw project budgets of $500k+.• Attended industry conferences (NAB, CES, CineGear) and conducted ongoing research on cutting-edge new technologies in media and entertainment, including camera equipment, lenses, lighting, VFX, monitoring, sound, editing software, digital color grading and all related hardware. • Led the ground-up buildout of a 20k sf post-production facility, including telecommunications, security, shared storage, content management, infrastructure, server room and outfitting all editorial stations. • Developed all technology strategies and execution plans, including driving technical recommendations, for post-production facilities that handle over 300 projects per year (up to 50 concurrent projects).• 20 years of overall IT experience and 15+ years of experience designing and deploying video editing and coloring workstations for studio-grade projects. • Skilled in the use of physical and digital asset management systems and archiving solutions spanning full asset lifecycle including ingestion, metadata, archiving, and reintegration.• Well-versed in all MPAA guidelines as well as TPN risk assessments and audits (successfully passed TPN audits and individual studio audits by Sony, Disney, WB, and Apple).• Served in top-level technology roles reporting directly to the CEO and/or Creative Director.
