As an artist, educator, and organizer, Jonathan Kwong (they/he) an interdisciplinary thinker who is guided to “decompose barriers” in STEM and education by centering people of color through storytelling and communal caring. Jonathan’s artistic and interstitial practice involves composing music, producing board games, carving canoe paddles, writing poetry, making jewelry, and weaving. They host communal caring events for people to share their experiences with environmental injustices and create sanctuary spaces where queer people of color can hold each other. They are interested in learning more about expanding their administrative/logistical knowledge and finding funding to support community projects. One of their current projects is building accessible online archives and libraries.
