I am a PhD candidate in economics conducting research and teaching at Indiana University Bloomington. I use computational modeling and deep machine learning techniques to study social issues and economic outcomes. My research generally involves quantitative policy analysis with an emphasis on computational methods as well as machine learning/AI predictive modeling. In particular, my dissertation uses these modeling techniques to quantitatively estimate the impacts of public policy and societal characteristics related to health care and labor markets. I serve as an Associate Instructor and have independently taught undergraduate economics courses at both the introductory and intermediate levels within in-person, fully-online, and hybrid settings. Before beginning my PhD, I worked as a Data and Policy Analyst at Acumen, LLC: a research consultancy specializing in health and social policy. Outside of work, I am a cyclist and hobbyist writer who enjoys learning about new places and languages.
