Jonathan Lines, Chief Operations Director of the Hope Action Plan, is an experienced leader with 33 years of combined experience in Federal Law enforcement and non-profit service. As the Chief Operations Director for Hope, Jon oversees the "Hope Action Plan," which focuses on preventing, protecting, and restoring victims. Throughout his career, Jon has successfully developed and implemented strategies to combat sex trafficking and child exploitation, both domestically and internationally.During his distinguished career as a special agent with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Jon earned multiple prestigious accolades, including the DOJ Office of the Inspector General's National Award of Merit. As Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Jon was instrumental in founding and developing the agency into a highly respected entity within law enforcement. His exemplary leadership and innovative initiatives, many of which were adopted as national models, underscore his collaborative efforts with law enforcement at all levels. Jon has also imparted his extensive knowledge through presentations at prominent conferences and educational institutions nationwide.After retiring from HSI, Jon continued his commitment to safeguarding others, particularly children, through executive positions in non-profit organizations. He has worked closely with domestic and foreign law enforcement entities, aiding in the development of sustainable strategies to combat trafficking and child exploitation. Jon has been recognized by foreign governments for his contributions and has helped establish effective safeguarding measures for children in numerous countries.The "Hope Action Plan" emphasizes the prevention, protection, and restoration of victims, focusing on creating efficient task force environments for child exploitation casework. Jon, also a dedicated advocate for "protecting our protectors," developed and administers Officer Wellness Retreats as part of this plan. These retreats are designed to equip law enforcement officers and other first responders with effective coping tools and life skills to manage the trauma inherent in their crucial roles.
