Leading research activities within the Advanced Materials Division at Thomas Swan, with the focus on graphene and 2D boron nitride products. Coordinating and developing application data for use of these products in various markets including composites, inks and coatings and polymers.

I was responsible for the development of new experimental formulations for the inks and coatings market, customer interaction to fully understand their requirements and implementation of new testing protocols for new and current products.

I have been awarded a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with microbiological applications. I have had experience of heterocyclic synthesis and characterisation, synthetic method development along with presentations to project stakeholders on a quarterly basis.

Responsible for the support of new product development for the Marine coatings market. I have had experience of paint formulation, polymer synthesis, paint manufacture and subsequent testing. During my employment, I also had experience of presentations to the marketing department and senior laboratory management with progress updates on specific projects.
