I have been working in intellectual property since 2003 and am a registered patent attorney in New Zealand and Australia.My practice at James & Wells Intellectual Property is primarily in the field of patents, drafting patent specifications and prosecuting patent applications from examination through to grant for both local and international clients. I also provide advice on infringement and validity, and handle oppositions.My technological expertise is backed by a first class masters degree in physics from the University of Oxford. My intellectual property experience covers a range of technologies, although I specialise in mechanical, electronics, ICT and physics.I also gained business experience as a management consultant in the UK where I worked on a number of large implementation projects for multi-national technology companies.Specialties: Intellectual property protection and law, patent law - particularly in mechanical engineering, electronics, ICT and physics.
