Jon McKeeman is a Home Equity Underwriter experienced in all parts of the process from underwriting applications - reviewing credit, assessing debt to income ratios, analyzing and evaluating loan risk, and determining equity in a house - to overseeing and managing all parts of application compliance for his team. In his current role at S3, he manages a team of 10 underwriters, training them in all parts of the job and then being responsible for quality control of their output. He also manages daily activities for as many as 5 production assistants ensuring member documents and vendor orders are dealt with appropriately and in a timely fashion. Jon has deep experience helping organizations embrace the use of technology to improve workflow. In his current role he has helped drive a digital transformation among his team. He has been part of an automation adoption from inception to implementation and through training. A dedicated, loyal, results-driven and approachable manager, Jon is responsible for hiring new team members and he mentors many who are new to the field. He is a trusted resource when it comes to handling confidential information in a professional, respectful and ethical manner. He consistently meets stated service level agreements with partner credit unions and is responsible for managing relationships with credit union Liaison Teams. He also has thorough knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.Jon has led his team during the COVID-19 pandemic, navigating a successful transition to remote work. He has also been responsible for staying on top of the many guideline and policy changes enacted during this time to protect members and organizations, while also ensuring that his team understands and enacts all the changes too. An excellent communicator - both written and verbally - with strong interpersonal skills, Jon has an aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and a great ability to collaborate with others. He has exceptional time management and organizational skills, expertly juggles multiple tasks and priorities on a daily basis, is skilled at working under tight deadlines and ensuring goals and deadlines are always met - for both him and his team. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Jon has a background in business and finance, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). He lives in Baltimore with his husband, is an avid runner and exercise enthusiast who's long taken part in a rigorous Boot Camp. He's also an avid traveler, eager to see the world again when the pandemic is over.
