Assist the Network/IT Operations Manager with research, planning and implementing new technologies to improve operating efficiency. Technical knowledge and understanding of computer hardware, software and networking are required. Learn new technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies. Research and resolve server problems, install, upgrade and maintain computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment. Provide elevated support beyond standard help desk capabilities.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Monitors and manages virtual server environment and active directory. Responds to tickets from Network Operations Center. Reviews logs and maintains documentation.Ensures administrative control over the end-user hardware and software assets of the Credit Union, as well as related supplies and accessories, through maintenance of inventories, files, logs, etc.Assists IT staff in providing security and awareness training to all staff.Assists in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of PCs, coordinating with technical support and vendors as necessary; coordinates with other I.T. staff to resolve hardware, software, and network problems.Provides on-going support to all Credit Union staff in the use of end-user hardware and software products; provides limited assistance to users developing applications with the standard user products; notifies users of new useful features available through product updates.Installs end-user hardware and PC software; ensures that Credit Union employees know how to care for and maintain their terminals, printers, and PCs and understand procedures for data backup, network access, etc.Performs other job related duties as assigned.
