Metro Detroit youth working to win their future by re-electing President Barack Obama through REALIZING, INSPIRING, STRATEGIZING, and EDUCATINGYouthRISE for Obama 2012- Detroit is a new program with support from and under the supervision of the Obama for America Metro Detroit regional office. It consists of five teams, each team responsible for carrying out the mission of YouthRISE within their appropriated district inside of Detroit. Every district will include three Detroit public high schools, any alternative public high schools, as well as non-public high schools that exist within its borders. Each district team will be responsible for ‘RISE’ing the youth in their communities for the re-election of Barack Obama, and will include students, volunteers, and OFA staff all under the direction of and dedicated to the mission of YouthRISE.
