I’m Jon, a Branding Specialist & Digital Designer devoted to turning clients ideas into reality. I have over a decade in the design and branding industry and have won numerous national awards for my agencies and clients, such as the W3, Davey Awards and have had work featured in trade magazines such as Graphic Design USA. I’ve worked with national brands such as Kate Spade, American Eagle Outfitters and the NFL. I’ve been involved with, and spearheaded, branding and development in every step of the process, from strategy to sketch, and from code to rollout.

I joined TJP with the goal of modernizing a print-only shop and turning it into a competitive, full-service digital agency. I led a team of 3, consisting of developers and digital designers. Together, we revamped the digital process, which led to a cleaner workflow, more jobs from existing clients, and the acquisition of new clients. I also spearheaded the introduction of Figma into the agency, and with my help, had all designers up-to-speed on the software within months. Leading the charge, we helped acquire new clients that were strictly asking for digital services, a goal that had never been achieved at TJP prior.

As the first, and only, Interactive Designer, thinking of the end-user first was always the #1 goal. The best way to get there was to start with a strong base. Rapid wireframing and prototyping, user testing, and user flows were created and shared with senior Creatives to provide insight to user behavior. Cross-team communication was key to ensure a best experience. Collaborating with Digital Strategy and Development was especially crucial when delivering the same user experience across various devices. On-going design changes were used based on user feedback. Interactive design tools such as XD, Figma, and After Effects were introduced to the agency by myself. Managed freelancers and third-party vendors when needed within larger projects. Print and traditional design and advertising was still a large part of my role as well.

As a leader of the creative side of the business, I've been in charge of creating compelling visuals, developing strategy and refining interaction for all of Merz's clients. My campaigns and websites have been recognized by leading industry organizations including the W3’s, Davey and GDUSA. Whether the lead designer, collaborating with another designer or developer or acting as a sounding board, I provide unique insight to every project. At Merz, I created, monitored and maintained all client visuals, UI/UX and assist in client strategy, to deliver the best product and to make clients happy and campaigns effective.

Shoprunner

At Shoprunner, I was responsible for delivering effective eCommerce campaigns for clients that included Bloomingdales, American Eagle Outfitters and NFL Shop. From websites to email and in-house branding, the most powerful branding message was always delivered.

In charge of web design for the agency. Collaboration with the Creative Director and lead Developers was key. Clients ranged from IT corporations to medium-sized local businesses looking to grow in their respective space.
