NE Prisons

• Responsible for,
• Ensuring DART (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Team) was established and perceived as a distinct and independent service and it is fully integrated into prison establishment.
• Ensuring that DART was aligned closely and effectively with community based services.
• To develop, identify, cohesion and effective joint working and a shared ethos amongst the commissioned providers.
• To ensure the development of the service to achieve delivery to operational and budgetary standards.
• Overseen the implementation and development of whole system change in drug and alcohol treatment provision across the North East Prison Estate.

HMP Durham & HMP Frankland

• Worked in a variety of roles and teams over the years with bulk of HM Prison Service career involved with the rehabilitation of offenders. Responsibilities included,
• Supervision and facilitation of Substance Misuse Cognitive Behaviour Therapy programme.
• Coordination and Management of HMP Frankland’s voluntary drug testing provision.
• Management of residential drug recovery unit.
• To provide training for all new staff on HMP Frankland’s Substance Misuse Treatment provision.
• To effectively manage Offender Assessment System caseload and associated Offender Management tasks.
