As a research economist for CEDBR, I've strengthened my depth of understanding of the fundamental economic drivers that contribute to and connect the economy and labor market, and developed a wide array of analytical, presentational, and project management skills, to turn an understanding of the economic drivers into actionable insights.As a graduate in economics from Emporia State University, I have developed the capacity for reason, analysis, and clarity of thought to confidently approach any problem and find the best possible solution while maintaining mindfulness of the desired end-state and the bigger picture.I've been in the United States Marine Corps, so I understand how vital effective leadership, team cohesion, and communication are to mission accomplishment. I seek to apply these lessons to my every endeavor from my education and work to my personal life.I have learned that leadership is an activity, not a position, and I try to demonstrate leadership at every opportunity. To that end, I attended extracurricular colloquia for the Koch Center for Leadership and Ethics and am officially an alumnus thereof. I've striven to go above and beyond the requirements in my degree and in my life, and I seek to do the same in my career.
