As Development Director at The Source in Vero Beach, I've had the opportunity to not only lead fundraising and development efforts but also manage the organization's Social Enterprises, which includes two food trucks and a catering business. In this role, I've been responsible for overseeing the operations of the Social Enterprises, including managing staff and volunteers, developing business plans and strategies, and ensuring profitability. My experience in program management and leadership has been critical in driving the success of these social enterprises and increasing their impact in the community.

As the Brevard County HMIS Lead, I have had the opportunity to manage and oversee the implementation and usage of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) within our Continuum of Care (CoC). My role involved ensuring that the system was configured and customized to meet the specific needs of the CoC, overseeing the installation and maintenance of the system, and managing any updates that were required.In my capacity as the HMIS Lead, I was responsible for ensuring that data was accurately collected and entered into the system. I developed data quality standards and protocols that helped to produce reports on homelessness trends and service utilization. I also provided training and technical assistance to HMIS system users, which included staff at partner organizations and agencies. Whenever issues arose, I was able to troubleshoot and provide solutions to ensure that the system was operating smoothly.As the HMIS Lead, I also ensured that the system was compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements, including privacy and security standards, and that the CoC was in compliance with any reporting requirements. Additionally, I worked closely with the leadership of the CoC, homeless service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the HMIS system was effectively utilized, and that data was being used to inform decision-making and policy development related to homelessness.Through my experience as an HMIS Lead, I have gained valuable skills and expertise in managing complex database systems, collecting and analyzing data, and working collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders. I am passionate about using data to drive decision-making and policy development, and I am committed to working towards effective solutions to address the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

During my time at the New Jersey Community Development Corporation, I had the privilege of serving as both the Community Outreach Coordinator and the Neighborhood Help Center Coordinator for a period of 9 years. Through these roles, I gained valuable experience in community outreach, program management, and community development.As the Community Outreach Coordinator, I was responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage with the local community and connect them with the resources and programs provided by the organization. I worked closely with community leaders, non-profit organizations, and government officials to identify community needs and develop effective outreach campaigns. My efforts resulted in increased community engagement and a greater awareness of the organization's services and programs.In my role as the Neighborhood Help Center Coordinator, I was responsible for managing the daily operations of the center, which included overseeing a team of staff and volunteers. The Neighborhood Help Center provided a range of services to the community, including job training, financial counseling, and legal services. Through my leadership and management skills, I was able to ensure that the center was able to provide high-quality services to the community and effectively meet their needs.Overall, my experience at the New Jersey Community Development Corporation provided me with a strong foundation in community outreach and development, program management, and leadership.
