Hey there,I'm Jon and I am currently studying business admin with a certificate in financial planning at the University of Phoenix Online. I studied at Coe College for 3 years with the hope of obtaining a Biology Degree, however, reality is far less fruitfull. Although it's the goal to complete that degree, entrepreneurship and business will assist me in getting to my goals faster. I saw the state of the world and it's need for change and evolution. I wanted to be an ecologist but the amount of research and advocacy for the biological world we live in is few and far in-between. Most see the issues that revolve around us but life is stressful enough without having to save the planet. Being an ecologist that exposes truth is just not enough in today's society anymore. We need philanthropists that are not afraid to invest in greener alternatives, food production, up cycling, regeneration, and more.As you saw in my title, I am a dreamer that has goals to become an entrepreneur and philanthropist. I want to develop sustainability for more green cities, change agriculture by converting it's current state to that of agroforestry and sustainable growth, regain the ecological principles we have lost, and rebuild our degrading world for the next generations. I'm doing this because I believe its my responsibility to fix what is broken. I am no miracle worker and understand that the job I have accepted will take a lifetime to complete but these responsibilities must be undertaken so that our children will prosper in a world meant for them. Humans converted the world from the Holocene era into the Anthropocene era in an astoundingly short amount of time. We have bleached coral reefs, deforested habitat necessary for keystone species, increased the dry season period in the Amazon, created deadzones in recently high populated fishing areas, caused eutrophication in waterways due to over fertilizing (Baltic Sea), and much much more. I am not blaming anyone, I am just stating facts about our current dilemma in the hopes to maybe sway some minds.
