• Guides associates in daily operations, and monitors to ensure a high degree of productivity, safety, service and quality.• Responsible for the training, coaching and feedback of hourly associates, and performs regular evaluations of associates through factual data and subjective observations• Maintains inventory accuracy and control; reviews reports identifies area of improvement for key metrics including productivity, accuracy, quality, and expenses• Manage a team of 25-40 Non-union hourly employees• Operation include receiving, inducting, pallet building, material handling, loading, and transportation. • Average daily workload is over 115 inbound trucks unloaded and over 95 outbound trucks loaded.• An operation where Over 30,000 different SKU's are shipped directly to 150 stores in the Midwest out of a 750,000 Sq. ft. Warehouse.• Work closely with the transportation team to setup priority loads, and meet dispatch times.• Work with HR and management team to properly staff the operation daily thru temp labor or direct staffing. Interviewing potential employees thru hiring events setup by HR team. • Develop employees by engagement, with tools that include weekly Performance Panels, quarterly sit-downs, and reviews. • Work with Safety team on incident safety review boards, training opportunities, and daily observations. • Floor presence is vital for the success of the operation where 90% of the day is spent overseeing the operation, driving performance, updating scorecards hourly, and shifting labor throughout the shift to ensure building flow.
