I was recruited directly into this role having been previously engaged by one of the service providers. I was the Manager of Systems Integration for Smart DCC. Smart Metering was the biggest digital project in the UK. At its peak this programme had more than 1000 people working on it for more than a year, with an estate of 1000 servers across the DCC systems. This was a critical role in this £11 Billion programme. P&O Ferries is a 24/7 operation with mission critical IT systems which operates at key UK Ports. Disruption of the critical IT services has major consequences inside and outside the company. In this high paced commercial environment my programmes included, two large off-shore development projects, two mission-critical web sites, and a major legacy replacement programme.We achieved an agile transformation and I Scrum Mastered the first SCRUM project (B2B Website). It was critical to the success of the entire company, I was the Test Lead. This role involved software, firmware and hardware testing, and liaising with multiple suppliers. For my success on the New Terminal project I was awarded with PayPoint Employee of the Month April 2004 (voted by the company executive).
