Standardising and Improving key Finish Processes within the precision casting facility (turbine blades) at Rolls-Royce, Derby.Working with the operations team and process engineers to implement process basics (5 "s", visual management and process control) on the shop floor.

Responsible for all site operations and maintenance.

During my time as Operations Leader at Tyseley, I have overseen a 30% improvement in throughput, progressed the TPM roll-out programme and improved visual management on the shop floor. Key customer arrears have been reduced by 30 to 50%.

Based in the Precision Casting Facility, turbine systems business unit.Projects included:- continuous improvement of post-cast cut-off capability with RFT improved from 88% to 98%;- standardisation of post-cast cut-off processes including visual management and asset care;- Work and material flow improvement in the post-cast Finish area, improving throughput consistency from a mean of 5700 units/week +/- 500 units to a consistent 6300 units per week and Leadtime reduction from a mean of 18 days to 10 days;- esteblishment of office 5"s".
