I established SEA Ltd in 1991 with a group of shetlanders we helped set up the a local authority network called KIMO with SIC related to pollution of the north sea and carried out energy audits and demand profiling for the first demand side energy management project in Europe with SSE. we won Sottish energy saver of the year and did carbon trust audits throughout scotland. We designed the accreditation system for Green Tourism in 1997 and established green business business uk in 2001 to manage the membership from Visit Scotland. Our role was to manage and develop the standards and train assessors. We created and transitioned 6 updates to 2020. We created a carbon calculator 2010 which members provided data and which delivered a 1 million tonne reduction in carbon intensity by 2018. The arrangement has been SEA Ltd as standards agency for green tourism with Green Business UK the membership and marketing body and they hold the brands inherited from Visit Scotland in 2005. We helped establish a European eco label network called VISIT. Last year did an ESOS plus audit identifying 7.5 million in annual savings in a 43 site hotel chain. We have worked internationally helping establish green certification programmes in Canada New Zealand, Sweden and Zimbabwe.
