I am the Transport manager at Agrii based in Alconbury. I work at the UK largest distribution centre of Agricultural Chemicals and fertilizers, and I oversee a team of 40 plus drivers and admin staff. The dangerous nature of the products that we store and deliver means that we work at a COMAH (control of major accident hazards) top tier level, and I have periodical training in this as well as delivering this training to my drivers. Agrii has depots throughout the UK and these depots are serviced from Alconbury through the night as well as delivering to farm in the East Anglian region. We run a variety of vehicles from vans to large trucks from this base and I look after the Operator’s Licence and vehicle scheduling. I also look after 10 Electric vans and have been involved in the driver training with this new technology.
