Wire Belt wanted to expand their business activities and were looking to launch a architectural division.I was tasked with developing a new division and brand, with the aim of entering the Architectural, Industrial and Environmental markets. The new division name was Zeus Innovations and within that we had 3 sub divisions:Zeus ArchitecturalZeus IndustrialZeus EnvironmentalDaily tasks include- Improving the brands image in the market placed, using best practices to make sure Zeus Innovations is striving for excellence - Liaising with clients and customers on projects, providing quotes and budgets for marketing activities- Introducing new products to Zeus Innovation’s product portfolio- Leading conversations with competitors to get them to work closer with Zeus Innovations- Finding new markets for Zeus Innovations to exploit and devising plans for the implementation- Design and implement new branding guidelines, conduct online and offline marketing, digital marketing - Design and lead new website creation with focus on SEO and responsive design

At Jacksons Fencing it was my job to ensure that once a design brief, or a customer order had been placed the scope of the design and the initial parameters were chosen accordingly. Customers and project specific detailed technical drawings for customer approval were produced, by hand and using AutoCAD and were supplied before the project could be drawn for manufacture. I had to divide customer orders or special projects into a sufficient number of subparts and design each subpart independently and then pass all the drawings onto manufacture. If any problems arose from my designs or my colleagues designs, then design modifications were necessary.The design issue was discussed with the manufacturing manager and re-designed in a swift and professional manner to avoid any manufacturing delays. I also had to ensure assistance to the installation teams were provided throughout the project, whether it be technical information or simply advice on the installation.

I was in charge of the whole re-branding of VisAct, from the products all the way through to the literature. Marketing side of things I took care of whether it be promoting VisAct directly to Architects or other companies that do not know we exist. I made sure they know who we are and what we do. VisAct is on a drive to become the best Architectural and Display Mesh company in Europe. My role also saw me developing new products for the current product range and also improving upon old designs. It was my job to make sure that we have a constant supply of projects for clients and that they are all manufactured, delivered and installed on time and on budget.I am currently working in a consultancy role for VisAct, for design and marketing purposes.

I worked with Coopers Fire Ltd on a project for my final year project at University. I was asked to design, prototype and manufacture a 'Horizontal Fire Curtain with Fail Safe'. This comprised of me taking an existing project and re-designing it to have another other purpose. During the project I was required to lead team of R&D Engineers, create a detailed Product Design Specification. I also held regular board meetings with the Board of Directors to update them on my progress and also I held meetings with potential clients. Throughout the project I had to make sure that every stage of the design, testing and prototyping met all the relevant standards. This project has now been added to Coopers Fire Ltd product range.
