I have a particular focus on helping people find a healthy balance to life through incorporating a holistic approach—exploring the connection between our mind, body, soul and spirit; family dynamics and how our childhood and home environment play a role in who we are today; the importance of healthy connections/relationships, and a particular interest into the awesomeness of neurodiversity and the wonders of neuroplasticity/neuroscience.I enjoy establishing an effective relationship by means of an unconventional therapeutic process, particularly when working with young people. I provide an authentic, compassionate, insightful approach to therapy as I journey with you through a variety of challenges you may face. Helping you focus on your accomplishments, to reflect on previous successes rather than setbacks. Our life experience, positive or negative, are building blocks for who we are today and can be effective tools in creating who we aspire to be tomorrow. I believe that with the right tools, empathic support, and personal determination, we can live life with confidence and become the best version of ourselves.I hold qualifications in Counselling and Integrated Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, Christian Counselling, Professional Supervision, and am a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP). I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and a member of the ACA College of Supervisors. I have undertaken further training and education into the areas of Compassionate Inquiry, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma Focused interventions, Domestic & Family Violence, Suicide/Self-Harm Prevention in youth and adults.
