Based in Yokosuka, Japan, I served in a multinational unit comprising 11 nations, operating in support of UN Security Council Resolutions (UNSCR) enforcement against North Korea. As the UK liaison officer, I coordinated and facilitated operations between the UK, the UNSCR ECC, and the US Navy’s Combined Taskforce 71 (CTF-71), with a focus on strategic project management, stakeholder alignment, and operational standardisation.

CSG is a 50+ strong team responsible for the strategic planning and execution of complex naval operations globally, including rapid response to international crises. I managed multi-disciplinary teams and played a pivotal role in risk management, operational planning, and process optimisation.

Led the delivery of rapid-response intelligence and risk assessments during a four-month deployment onboard HMS Albion, managing cross-functional teams, prioritising competing operational requirements, and delivering real-time insights that informed strategic decision-making. Ensured situational awareness and operational readiness by coordinating risk management processes and providing expert analysis in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

As one of 17 officers, I played a critical role in managing the transition of HMS Audacious, a state-of-the-art nuclear-powered submarine, from the final construction phase through to operational sea trials. I worked closely with key stakeholders, including BAE Systems, QinetiQ, and Thales, to ensure that project milestones were met, timelines were adhered to, and performance standards were achieved.
