Jonathan Robins has over 40 years’ experience as a teacher, Headmaster and consultant in some of the best British international schools in the world, including 29 years’ experience as a school leader in Mexico. His previous school had a first-class reputation, both throughout the region and globally; the students consistently achieving outstanding examination results at both Cambridge International IGCSE and IBDP level before going to study at some of the world's finest universities.Jonathan believes that the fundamental requirements for a school to achieve excellence are a curriculum that gives equal emphasis to academic and emotional development, open communication across the whole school community, and an atmosphere where children, teachers and parents feel valued. Originally from a small town in the middle of England, a short drive from Shakespeare's birthplace in one direction and Robin Hood's forest in the other, he grew up in an English rural community – a million miles from the hustle and bustle of Mexico City. On completing Secondary School, Jonathan studied education at Nottingham University and taught in the UK and Asia before finally settling in Mexico. As well as being a teacher and Headmaster, for the last two years Jonathan has also been an educational consultant for leading international schools in Mexico and Latin America. He is now embracing the role of Headmaster at Winpenny School; an innovative school that values effort, excellence and community, and provides local and expatriate families with a world-class, British international education for the 21st Century.
