Member of 4 man team charged with overseeing daily operations and mid-range planning for 350+ personnel in 40 disparate specialty codes. We are responsible for support operations for the USAF's busiest wing, with 5 different types of aircraft as well as joint and international military partners.

We take the overall goals of aircrew combat readiness and work backwards to generate sorties and missions, as well as integrate the training requirements for Army, Marines, Navy, and international teams.

Current Operations Officers are responsible for building and executing weekly flying schedules from cradle to grave. Taking the overall flying hour program as a guide, the executor plans out individual missions, coordinates range access, AMMO, and maintenance support. Following flight the officer is in charge of carrying out data collection for lessons learned, and generating reports on the efficiency of training for higher headquarters.

The Scheduling officer's duties include: coordinating currencies and training for 50+ pilots broken into three different proficiency levels and divided as copilots and aircraft commanders. The monthly flying schedule is filled and tracked by the scheduler, who also works to ensure check ride evaluations are scheduled and executed. In addition, the pilot scheduler is responsible for overall management of the scheduling process between 8 different specialties and 300* flyers.
