Over the summer I was a Project Engineer Intern for Teichert Construction. I worked side by side with my Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Foreman to help put together various jobs throughout the summer. I was tasked with RFI's, Submittals, Quotes, Scheduled Coordination for Subs & Materials, Material Calculations & Takeoffs, Participated in Drone Flying, Obtained and Compared Quotes, and various other responsibilities. I used programs such as Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Excel and Procore to successfully accomplish my tasks. In my time with Teichert, I visited job sites daily, attended Team Meetings, and became part of the team. I experienced new challenges as well as had many opportunities to learn new things. My internship at Teichert was an excellent experience where I met great people and had a lot of fun.

Over the summer I was a Project Engineer Intern at O.C. Jones & Sons, Co. I participated and completed tasks such as RFI's, Submittals, Updating RFI/Submittal Logs, Ordering/Scheduling Subs & Materials, Updating Schedules, Creating Various Excel Spreadsheets, attended office/field meetings, creating foreman binders, performed various types of communication, and filled out various paperwork for job owners. Other tasks included, but not regularly performed were ordering plan sheets, creating field maps, taking field measurements, gaining city permits, putting together as-builts, daily cost reports, updating billing, PCO Binders, and calculating extra work costs. Overall, it was a great experience and I learned a lot of new information.
