I am currently a Media Specialist II at South Dakota Public Broadcast in Vermilion, SD. I am looking for something that will take the skills I’ve learned here and combine them with the skills I’ve already been developed in filmmaking. Since I was a child, I’ve been working on writing and directing short films. I’ve learned how to use the Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. Screenwriting in Final Draft is also a skill that I possess. I can lead a team as a director, but also know how to follow and help someone else reach their goal. I have written, shot, and edited several short films over the last few years and have participated in countless film festivals and challenges. Currently, I work at SDPB, as a Videographer/Editor. In this position, I assist producer in filming and editing various documentary-like videos for television broadcast and social media. I also help with live productions such as concerts and sporting activities. I direct, run camera, and audio.Previously, as an Engineer/Director at KTIV-TV, I assisted with Station Engineering projects and directed Newscasts on the weekends or whenever else needed. I ran audio for shows, worked on lighting, performed PA duties, and readied the set ready for whatever the newscast called for. I also worked as a Master Control Operator.I worked with the Sioux City Bandits as a Video Intern during the 2017 season. My tasks there included recording interviews, footage of the games, and editing everything together. At the end of the season, I produced a short 10-minute documentary from everything that was gathered. Having graduating from Western Iowa Tech in 2018, I received my Associates degree in Applied Science for the Video and Media Production Program.
