Serving as the Assistant Director of the Community Services Department for the City of Deerfield Beach is a key leadership role, responsible for the management, oversight, and administrative functions of the Community Services Department, including administration, governmental affairs, health and social services, grant administration and management, and housing entitlement programs. Responsibilities include being proactive in recommending changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of City operations in collaboration with the City’s executive staff and department directors. Servings as the Assistant Director requires exceptional relationship-building skills to foster positive relations with the community and organizations. Daily responsibilities require the ability to lead and coordinate projects consisting of cross-functional teams.
