Octagon is one of the world's largest sports agencies with offices around the globe and its hockey division represents over 100 current NHL hockey players. Some greats including Yzerman and Gilmour, as well as some of the best of today's generation including Vladimir Tarasenko, Victor Hedman and Mark Scheifele.• Participated in player contract negotiations by preparing player analysis, statistical research and depth chart projections• Assisted NHLPA certified agents with free agency, public relations, event planning and the NHL draft• Reviewed player negotiation and salary arbitration briefs, researched entry level contract comparables and summarized provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement• Helped with other agent-related day-to-day tasks and hockey-related research (endorsement agreements, marketing and sponsorship, recruitment and scouting reports, etc.)• Provided general assistance for the agents and their players
