Systems Administrator in UNIX, Linux, VMWare and Windows Server. Many projects managed from design to install and maintenance.Systems Administration: o Wrote specifications and proposal for a Sun E450 file and application server. After GM approved, I installed and supported it. This system was then adopted by GM/EDS for the other five GM stamping plants to serve Unigraphics and TCS.o Maintained two SUN E450 servers and twenty-four SUN/Solaris workstations.o Managed backup of all servers at the Mansfield site with Symantec NetBackup. o Remote Systems Admin: SUSE Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and VMWare. o Executed hundreds of system installations of Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, Windows, Windows Server.Project Management:o One year project to migrate critical applications to VMWare at 69 global GM plants. Coordinated work done by HP central support and on-site teams to migrate applications to VMWare; created project plans, conducted meetings, distributed install documentation and prepared reports to HP and GM management.o Managed project to migrate from EMC Symmetrix to Clariion disk array at six GM Stamping Plants in 2003.o Managed project to migrate GM/Mansfield’s CAD/CAM system from IBM mainframe to SUN Unix workstations.o Systems Engineer in support of the 1986 expansion of the GM/Mansfield Stamping Plant and installation of transfer presses.Application Support:o Maintained MDT MASS - PLC documentation/programming application (one HP-UX server & three Windows 2003 servers).o Maintained shipping and materials management application on local HP-UX server connected to mainframe database.o Provided client application support for Unigraphics, Abacus, Nastran, VisMockup, CGS, MicroCadam, AutoCAD, Applicon, Cimlinc, PCDMIS, Cognitens White Light, Lemoine, Tebis, Sesquoi, TCS, DieMAPP, Artemis, MultiCAPP.
