My mission is to create a world that is community-oriented, sustainable and peaceful. Through world class education, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to each other's intellectual and spiritual growth, I believe that world is right around the corner. As a third generation educator, I have been a classroom science teacher in Arlington, Texas since 2017 leading the AP Environmental Science program. During this time I have also spent 3 years working as a curriculum cadre member curating, creating and modifying instructional materials for a variety of science courses.Before my time in Arlington, I taught undergraduate students at Texas Christian University as a Graduate Assistant in the College of Geology and the Environment, where I also worked on several projects related to low temperature geochemistry and Geographic Information Systems.As an undergraduate at TCU, I worked for Huntington Learning Center tutoring elementary students in math and science as well as high school students in SAT prep. During the summer of 2013, I had the opportunity to serve as a Texas Senate Messenger, where I served as a legislative aid during Wendy Davis's historic 14-hour filibuster. While my career aspirations have been focused on science education, I am also proud of the many passions I have cultivated outside of work, including 3 years as a Game Master for Table Top Role Play Games, 14 years as a Disc Golfer, and over 20 years as a musician and music producer.
