CurrentA Chartered QS, I was called to the Bar in 2008. I am a Barrister at Lamb Chambers specialising in Construction Law.I have over 30 years experience in the construction industry, having worked for 8 years as a contractor’s quantity surveyor, a further 10 years as a consultant specialising in all aspects of construction law, 3 years as a Partner in a specialist London Construction Solicitors, and 11 years as a Barrister at the Independent Bar. I draw on my significant knowledge and expertise within the industry and practise exclusively in all areas relating to construction and engineering.I combine strong commercial, analytical and advisory skills with a pragmatic and approachable manner. I undertake work in the following areas: Construction; Engineering; Professional Negligence; General Contract; Process; and Public Utilities.I have extensive experience of, amongst other things: all aspects of dispute conflict and resolution; care and conduct of complex disputes; delay/extension of time matters; claims for loss and expense; liquidated damages; defective work; final account matters; certification issues; disruption claims; professional negligence; negligence and nuisance claims; and complex technical expert issues.Together with litigation, I have extensive experience of adjudication, arbitration, mediation and other forms of ADR. I am able to advise and represent parties in all forums. My experience has involved all the major standard forms of contract such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, MF/1.I have a wide range of experience in contractual and commercial matters, and the management and resolution of disputes, particularly in the care and conduct of proceedings and the preparation of submissions. I also have significant experience in the preparation of detailed factual evidence for use in all dispute resolution forums.
