I wear multiple hats at Region 10 ESC; video producer, motion graphics artist, graphic designer, photographer, writer, the list goes on. As a Digital Media Producer, I spearhead initiatives, lead projects, and work collaboratively with my colleagues. My input has been critical to the management of Region 10 ESC’s digital signage system, development of visual design standards, implementation of project management pipelines and systems, overhaul of the service center’s website design and function, and branding and marketing opportunities. I have written and edited scripts for video, contributed to Reach! magazine, and at times when needed, helped manage social media accounts and content. I have assisted with communications and marketing audits for clients regionally and statewide, developed and led center-wide communications related training, and region-wide digital media training.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

I taught a variety of courses across the Graphic Design and Media Arts and Animation degree programs at the Art Institute of Dallas. Curriculum ranged from publication layout, brand development, animation principles, and video production. I developed assignments that encouraged students to value lifelong learning. I instilled a philosophy of hard work and determination by designing fun assignments and discussions that challenged students. Students were encouraged to produce professional work suitable for professional portfolios.

The Lead Instructor role at the Art Institute of Indianapolis was a mix of instruction and administration. As the Lead Instructor, I was responsible for teaching and developing curriculum across the Media Arts and Animation degree program. I encouraged students to value lifelong learning through assignments that instilled a philosophy of hard work and grit by creating challenging, relevant, and fun assignments and discussions. I met with community partners and led Professional Advising Committee meetings to help foster connections between students and industry. Working with my team of roughly six instructors, I developed strategies to boost student retention, oversaw and advised student career planning initiatives, developed and implemented new curriculum into the existing program of study, and developed and implemented assessment tools for accreditation.

Wrote, directed, and produced the animated short, Rescue Party. Additionally, acted as Art Director and Animation Supervisor, collaborated with Studio 208 Animation production artists, led studio meetings, developed social media and crowd sourcing campaigns, created the website, managed team membership, and helped facilitate an artistic, motivating environment. Recruited, led, and developed an all-volunteer team of more than thirty creatives. Managed all tasks, assignments, and critiques.

Worked collaboratively with clients to produce unique and effective animations, motion graphics, and visual effects. Consulted with clients on set and location to best plan and implement visual effects needs. Created motion graphics and animations to support branding and marketing needs, both print and digital. Worked with Ascent XR as a lead rigger, animator, and dynamics artist for augmented reality projects. Collaborated with Bitloft as a rigger and animator for an educational video game. Helped develop an online marketing strategy with Sellution 360 and created a platform launch commercial and branding.

Acted as principal 3D Animator and Rigger for the educational video game The Crystal Core. Worked collaboratively with the design team to create compelling and exciting animations. Created animation lists, created tasks, and assigned tasks to other members of the 3D team. Created rigs for player avatar characters and non-player characters. Animated character cycles for in game use. Exported and baked animation for game engines.

Worked primarily in the Adobe Creative Suite using After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Element 3D, and Autodesk Maya. Worked remotely, across time zones, and managed tasks on time.

I taught Introduction to Public Speaking to a variety of mostly first- and second-year students. As an instructor, I created an environment of challenge and security by carefully pushing students out of their comfort zone to ensure success. My students were encouraged to work collaboratively and become friendly to create a welcoming environment to discourage anxieties. Lifelong learning and hard work were stressed in each assignment, activity, and discussion. I regularly collaborated with faculty and administration to organize, implement, and host public speaking competitions and forums on campus.

This motion graphic was created to explain the core principles of the Civiwiki.org website. This motion graphic animation was created using the Adobe Suite packages After Effects and Illustrator.

Columbus, Indiana Area

Worked collaboratively with Directors Chris McDaniel and Craig Whedon on the film Dark Ground. Advised and supervised the film crew on green screen implementation. Consulted with the Chris and Craig on visual effects elements. During filming, set up visual effects equipment, coached actors, and consulted the director and production crew on set.

Taught introductory photo editing, illustration, and three dimensional animation skills and techniques to first and second year students in the undergraduate Media Arts and Sciences Program. Worked with students and faculty to create a welcoming learning environment to ensure proficiency. This was accomplished by creating challenging assignments with critical and positive feedback.
