Responsible for all grassroots and grasstops campaigns on major federal issues such as the Renewable Fuels Standard, offshore drilling access, the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and hydraulic fracturing. Managed all grassroots and grasstops campaigns in API's southern region (WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, AR) on federal, state and local issues. Managed API's relationships with key outside organizations representing small business,transportation, agricultural, manufacturers, distributors and other energy trade associations.Developed and managed a department operating budget Forged relationships with nontraditional allies such as minority, religious, labor and sportsmen groups that resulted in the activation of their memberships on critical energy issues Represented API to public official groups such as NCSL, ALEC, CSG, USCM, NACo, NLGA and NLC.
