My journey began with a metallurgy degree from Sheffield University in 1984, and since then, I've delved deep into various facets of materials engineering. My PhD research at Southampton University scrutinized austenitic weldments, paving the way for four years of post-doctoral exploration into high-temperature creep performance. I proudly earned my PhD from Southampton University in 1988, solidifying my expertise in this field.Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to work in many countries, which has honed my ability to provide global solutions for engineering challenges. My tenure with organisations such as ERA Technology in the UK and Industrial Research Limited in NZ expanded my horizons and allowed me to contribute to projects of international significance.I founded Optimech International Limited, based in Henderson, Auckland, NZ.
