An everyday requirement was to provide the customer with a solution to their particular need, which required good communication skills and initiative. My leadership skills were recognised by the store manager, as on occasions I was required to take the responsibility for the running of the department. This involved planning other team members, prioritizing tasks, time managing myself and others so that deadlines were achieved. This has led to an increase in my understanding as to how a business operates and has making me a valuable team member working within a busy, national automotive company with stretching targets. Overall, working for such a large corporate has taught me how to work effectively and be a key member within a team.
