About Jonathan Stobbs

I am an established Hardware Architect, with 10 years experience across the engineering sector ranging from Pharmaceutical Automation to Naval Sonar System Design.Within my role as a Hardware Architect I am responsible for the system hardware design and qualification lifecycle - from requirement capture, design and development (including network design), procurement and manufacture, integration and test, to certification and customer installation approval. These projects have included complex multi-sensor sonar suite developments for submarine, surface ship minehunter and autonomous minehunting platforms.My time spent in varying roles (software engineer, electrical design engineer, hardware architect) within these sectors has allowed me to gain a breadth of skills & appreciation for many aspects of the engineering development lifecycle from small to large scale projects.My passion for my personal development has seen me attain the CCNA network qualification as well as graduating from the Thales UK Sonar Academy programme. This program exposes the successful applicants to every aspect of sonar system development, ranging from complex algorithms to hardware design.I am currently utilising my passion and initiative for continued self learning to progress an application to the IET for CENG status.
