The daily duties included taking inbound calls in an efficient and timely fashion to assist both the group practices and their IT support with installing and troubleshooting the product.Interaction would include training queries, hardware faults with scanner or printers, software configuration, audit reports and any other queries the customers may have. With the company having such a wide customer base, regularly had to carry out work on a multitude of operating systems, most notably Windows XP and Windows 7, with occasional work also taking place on Windows Server 2003 and 2008. I used my technicians efficiently and am comfortable delegating tasks but always ensuring successful completion and customer satisfaction. I am a good communicator and believe this essential in a customer orientated industry. I was responsible for suppliers and support contact, licence renewals, maintaining stock count to a budget. I was also the appointed contact in the absence of the network manager.I assisted in maintaining multiple servers and software package creation, supporting and communicating with over 1800 users and maintaining over 1000 PCs (including laptops and netbooks). I was a trainee working largely unsupervised and dealing with a range of issues that required me to research and resolve whilst under pressures of time, experience and cost. I found this a difficult period but a rewarding one that has left me focused on delivering high levels of service. Further to this I was given a contract as an IT Technician. The Network Manager later left and was replaced with a part-time Network Manager, leaving the daily running of the school network to myself. Show less
