With more than 20 years of consulting experience, I have a strong reputation for providing honest, thorough and practical planning and investment advice to transport infrastructure owners and operators. I began my career in London where I 'learnt the ropes' working on strategic transport modelling assignments that informed policy decisions. This included providing advice with respect to congestion charging, as well as longer term strategic transport plans. I was also heavily involved in providing business advisory services to the rail sector, including leading the development of demand and revenue forecasting models in support of rail franchise bids.In moving to Australia in 2007, my focus shifted to project development, assessment and business case preparation. Through numerous strategic assessments, options analyses and business cases, I developed an excellent track record for quality and timely delivery which ultimately led to the ability to build a team and taking on operational leadership roles. I have worked on over 100 projects including high profile publicly released studies (E.g. East Coast High Speed Rail, Doncaster and Rowville Rail Studies), led numerous level crossing removal business cases (E.g. Springvale Road, Springvale) multiple road, bridge, rail and bus upgrade projects, as well as many active transport investments (E.g. Brisbane Green Bridges) and placemaking projects (E.g. Victoria Street Linear Park). Typically, my project roles are either as Technical Director or Project Director taking overall corporate responsibility for project delivery and providing mentoring to the project team.I passionately believe multi-disciplinary professional services firms are best placed to provide holistic, evidence based advisory services. It's within this environment that I continue to provide technical, operational and strategic leadership.
